he turns 4...

There comes a time when every mother has to come to grips with the fact that their child is growing up. 

I am not there yet...

Regardless of that though, Matthew turned 4 anyway. This is how he started his 4th birthday.

My darling Matthew,

We are delighted to have you as our son. We treasure each day with you.  You bring more joy to our lives than you could even imagine. 

By the way, you ask me to make you pancakes almost every morning. So I could not resist making them on your birthday.
